David Walliams lost his contract with book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
