Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This incident isn't the first time that a United States armed forces jet transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
